Show your pride with the most renowned flagpoles in America.
At Hannan Specialties, Inc. we care about quality and service so to help meet the needs of our customers we have teamed up with American Flagpole who embraces a full Quality Assurance System that begins with exacting raw material specifications. Aluminum shafts are constructed of seamless 6063-T4 temper aluminum alloy conforming to ASTM B221. Required welding is performed by AWS certified welders to AWS Specification D.1.1 standards, and all flagpole shafts are heat treated to a full T6 temper. In addition, all component parts follow a strict standard inspection process, ensuring a level of quality only available with American Flagpole.
American Flagpole Engineering has a proud history of dedicated involvement in the research that shaped the aluminum flagpole industry. Decades of testing in our fully-equipped, in-house R&D labs, active participation in numerous national industry organizations, and adoption of the most modern solid modeling techniques assure quality product designs that are guaranteed to meet or exceed current National Association of Architectural Metal Manufactures (NAAMM) standards and specifications.
“American Flagpole was originally founded in the late 1940’s in New York.”
The parent company of HAPCO Pole Products, Dyson Kissner Moran (DKM), purchased American Flagpole in 1975. An industry pioneer in innovative aluminum pole manufacturing, the Engineering and Manufacturing expertise possessed by Hapco was a natural fit for round tapered aluminum flagpoles, and operations were moved from New York into the current Abingdon, VA Hapco facility later that year. American Flagpole engineers immediately began to improve the quality of the flagpoles by integrating them into the HAPCO manufacturing system. Today, American Flagpole “Quality Control” is inherent to the entire manufacturing process, ensuring every flagpole meets or exceeds current National Association of Architectural Metal Manufactures (NAAMM) standards and specifications. Throughout the years, American Flagpole and HAPCO have undergone several renovations and expansions with the most recent occurring in 2008. Their campus now comprises over 275,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing, distribution, and administrative capacity, combining the most advanced, state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies with exceptional engineering and design.
